We should bring Dzeko to show him how to win duels with CBs. I find unbelievable how someone with so much strength, height and speed lose so many duels in 50/50 balls against CBs. With Haaland is 10/90, not a 50/50. It's by far the thing he should improve the most.

Days like today against teams that press a lot, someone like Dzeko, Kane or Lewandowski would be a huge assets for how good they are at winning those duels. He is superb in a lot of things, but cmon Erling, you have to show improvements in this aspect of your game.

I will say that when Aguero went through rough patches he was still kind of okay-ish most of the time. When Haaland goes through rough patches he tend to be absolutely awful.
 
What’s the plan if this guy gets injured for a period of time, put Foden up top? Ah I have too laugh…
 
said earlier when we did try and won it with false 9 it was due to our pressing and others all chipping in. still it was one of the lowest goal tally in the league in Pep-era as I recall. we aint press like that anymore, and others aint chipping in with goals. Sterling, Jesus, Mahrez did deliver goals, Gundo was also on two digit.... ask Grealish to do that or Doku or Savinho.
Savinho in time maybe able to be a regular scorer in the form of Mahrez, but not just yet.

our stronger pressing also meant much more situations to find ourselves winning the ball high up and straightaway a chance against an unorganized defence lacking numbers and two flat banks of 5.

we dont press well these days, even slow down some half counter chances and then we often need to break down the Chinese Big Wall with Akanji, Dias passing about 35 metres from the goal.

We press the difference now is there are mangers who coach passing out form the back and the players are good at it! If you watch the Southampton game we pressed but they were to good at passing it out!

The more I think about not getting cover for big erl things he more I’m astounded how one of the best teans in the world has allowed his to happen and now we have to hope that Haaland stays fit for the whole campaign and keeps his scoring record going . If this was Liverpool or Utd we’d be laughing our socks of saying what a fucking clusterfuck this is .

The plan is to go to a council field this morning and find someone who is still pissed up and throwing up on the sidelines and get them a shirt for next week .

He needs to make things fucking happen if those around him aren’t putting them on a plate.

Or at least put a shift in rather than sulking his way through a match like he keeps doing.

I will say it again and I don't give a fuck if it upsets people here, if he is never pressing and never linking up play he better take his chances and not only is he not doing that at the moment he is wasting chance after chance and even penalties now, he can't complain about having no service because he is, he better fucking get back to form because we can't afford to play him if he's going to piss chances like this.
