9 | Erling Haaland - 2024/25

Got no service yesterday but worked hard and took his pen beautifully.

Looked very happy parading the trophy.

Looking forward to seeing Savio provide him plenty of ammo as the season progresses.

It’s supposed to be the latest zeitgeist way of achieving a place of zen. Looks a bit daft to me.

That’s what I thought. As far as I know, he practises meditation but have only reached that conclusion by Googling ‘Haaland’ and ‘Buddhism’, having previously noted that he sometimes celebrates goals by assuming a seated Buddha posture.

If it is Zen that he goes in for, he may be having a crack at a method known as ‘shikantaza’ that is generally performed whilst staring at a blank wall.

According to one tradition, the legendary founder of Zen Buddhism, Bodhidharma, got a bit carried away and meditated (or ‘raw dogged’ if you prefer) until his arms and legs fell off.

Erling now has a partnership with Godfisk in Norway to promote healthy fish and seafood dishes.
As a seafood lover myself I may give some of the recipes a go!

Even more impressive for Foden is how the large majority of these players take penalties for their team.
