Yeh erm when I said if "he doesn't want to be here he can get to fuck" he's definitely shoved that one back at me!!! Crikey that's some deal, he's going to smash the vauxhall conference league scoring record

9.5YRS = 9.5*12MONTHS = 114 MONTHS. LOL, CITY ARE MOCKING THE EPL AND THE RIVALS!

There’s plenty on here going to have to get used to the idea, whether they think he doesn’t suit our style of play or not, fucking brilliant news this and hope he scores a shit load every season he’s here

Very big statement by the club. I’m really not a fan of a contract of that length though.

Let’s hope we can build a team around his strengths and get him back to his first season’s form with us.

We must surely know the outcome of the allegations to be doing something like this.

Yep a huge statement of intent from the club. The other good thing is that there is apparently no release clause, so if anyone thinks about buying him they'll be paying top dollar.

Pep will set up his new team to feed the big man now and we're beginning to see that now with Savinho and Doku. Add Bobb, Echeverri and Marmoush and we'll have players to cause a lot of damage.

This is great news!!!!

Reading the posts leading up to the signing you’d think he was already off and our fans wanted to usher him out the door.

This place is getting more and more ridiculous. People just lack sense.

Got sick of people microanalysing his body language every time we lost thinking he was waiting for a reason to demand a transfer to Real Madrid.

Hes never done anything to indicate he is any kind of diva and seems to love being here.

More than likely there is wriggle room.

what we have done is secure our investment - it means throughout his career he will have a transfer value
Don't get why people are twitchy myself. Pep said himself that he feels Erling will always be motivated - pretty sure this is never going to be a Mudryk or Bogarde situation! And touch wood he's been ok with injuries.

One other thing - this could help dictate our next manager. Pep is likely gone in 2 years, Erling and Phil will be around 27 years old and at or near the peak of their powers. Who knows we might not see the best of Erling until Pep goes. Knowing we've got Erling tied down should be a big help with any transition and plans moving forward
