He's physically fucked. Started the season off brilliantly because he got a rest over the summer, but he's been played into the ground because we decided not to replace Alvarez.

Don't give me this zero service shit. There were at least a couple of occasions where the ball was played to him and he made no effort to get there in front of his marker. He seemed more interested in backing into the defender than focusing on the ball.

He's a fucking disgrace.
 
Like the rest of the team he's clocked off.
No biggie.
He's won the lot, he's young, who knows what his mental state is.

He'll be back, this season is regrouping and getting everyone fit, we get some players in January and next summer and crack on.

You can't have a go at a Erling because he's misfiring, he's been electric for us these last 3 years, he's got credit in the bank just like pep and the team have.
 
I guess he will play 90 mins vs Villa, and then Everton, Leicester and WHU too. may be able to rotate him vs Salford but Pep might start him there too.

he played pretty much maximum minutes so far in PL, 16 games, started 16 and dont recall he was subbed off much maybe 89th min 1-2 times or so.

he scored 7 goals in August in 3 games, and 6 goals in the next 13 league games.

Were those couple of occasions long balls from Walker and Ederson?

Silly me, he should be bringing those down, turning his man, dribbling the other 2 CBs and scoring.

Relying on crosses and through balls is so old fashioned.

Wake me up when he scores in a big game. He's the total description of flat track bully.

He doesn't even look arsed now. Laughing the other week with Liverpool players, and abject displays like today.

Just cash in on him.

Only we could have the worlds best striker on the books and not play to his strengths.

I don't blame him for his lack of interest during the game. He doesn't get the ball, time and time again. So gives up.

When he does get the ball it bounces off him, and he gets outmuscled by a lot smaller defenders.

There is no fight left him in.
 
Despite his ridiculous numbers, I’m still not convinced he’s a great fit for the way we play. I think he’d been more effective at a more direct team like Liverpool.

Maguire ? he was beaten in the air a couple of times by that Argentine midget.
 
Try putting decent crosses into him, try playing him in through the lines, just try and give him some service, he offered nothing today because he was offered nothing, this lad is a goal machine, he would score 50+ playing for the dippers, I've said in another thread, if he doesn't score, we don't, that tells you enough
 
Completely and utterly wasted. However, the past 3 weeks have not shown him in a good light at all.
 
Sell him.

Unfortunately we won't get the best out of him with the dross around him at the minute.

The fee we couid get will be knocking on the 150 million pound mark.

That will get us 3 or 4 decent younger players, to start the rebuild.

The bonus is no one in England would be afford to afford him so he wouldn't cause us damage in the Premier league.

And we won't be in the champions league next season anyway.

As a massive Sergio fan I'm biased, but didn't Aguero create his own chances quite often? And yes, I know Erling's incredible scoring statistics & how we've won everything there is to win with him.

So Erling isnt as good as one of the best strikers of his generation. Brilliant.

Really useful insight that.

If anyone in world football was as good as Aguero, we would go and sign them.

Try fucking running and pressing with purpose. Try being near the ball when it’s cleared upfield just once! Try not laughing with rivals players ffs
