Don't get why people are twitchy myself. Pep said himself that he feels Erling will always be motivated - pretty sure this is never going to be a Mudryk or Bogarde situation! And touch wood he's been ok with injuries.

One other thing - this could help dictate our next manager. Pep is likely gone in 2 years, Erling and Phil will be around 27 years old and at or near the peak of their powers. Who knows we might not see the best of Erling until Pep goes. Knowing we've got Erling tied down should be a big help with any transition and plans moving forward
I don’t know about Pep going in 2 years now if his marriage is over why not stay here

There’s plenty on here going to have to get used to the idea, whether they think he doesn’t suit our style of play or not, fucking brilliant news this and hope he scores a shit load every season he’s here
Clearly he’s in our long term plan so you’d assume any rebuilding will be geared in part to providing better service.

I was really pleased with this news as I feared he might be getting pissed off with our current situation.

As a bonus, the aroma of boiling piss grows ever stronger from all the City haters online.

Good business if you ask me. Wage control is within the clubs gift and will be amicably arrived at with Haaland, puts doubters to sleep, Haaland has some big sponsor deals that will be interlinked (For any twats from other club forums, the links will be with Fifa games and boot/shirt deals). It really shows the long term vision; remember when Alan Shearer was the record signing for a club?

"I am going to stay for a long time," he said. "Now I can fully focus on getting better because I am going to stay here for such a long time. Full focus on performing and getting better to give all of the fans what they want.

"To score the most goals ever in a Premier League season is special and I will do everything I can to try and get close to the record in the future. It is not going to be easy, but it was a special thing and I am really happy that I did it.”

"Now I am City no matter what. I want to keep developing, keep working to get better and look to do my best to try and help us achieve more success going forward.”

Still can’t believe we’ve got this guy for the next 10 years, no one would have predicted that 2 years ago. Did I hear that if he carries on at this rate he will score 520+ for City when the 10 years is up, crazy. All timer.

We couldn’t have predicted it just three days ago.

Haaland seems class - not as a footballer as he obviously is class there - but as a human being, part of a team. I'm a bit surprised - but elated - that he signed a long term deal for our side.

Might Haaland's long term signing have knock on effects - might Pep decide to stay beyond his current contract? I wouldn't discount this possibility!

Read some thing today that i couldnt help agree with. Shearer isnt the top flight top scorer. Hes the prem top scorer.
The real title goes to jimmy greaves. 347 top flight goals.
That’s a remarkable feat for Greavsie. With Haaland’s extended stay, I want to be here to witness Haaland overtaking him.
