Pep not happy. Need to be more clinical to win this. I’m looking at you Gabby and Raz.
expect some tough love to be dolled out.

The duality of Jesus.

He absolutely deserves credit for his work rate, tenacity, and overall game. What he brings to our build up play is fantastic.

On the flip side, he certainly deserves criticism for his finishing and overall end product. His goal rate has been worryingly trending the wrong way. At the end of the day you really do need your forwards to, you know, score goals.

He's a very good player and I hope he stays with us for years to come. If he improves his finishing the sky is the limit. If not, he's still quality and a tremendous team player.

Either way I think we need to sign an out and out #9.

But obviously I trust Pep and the club.

Split second stuff....

5 goals and an assist in last 7 starts. He's back amongst the goals recently and yes tonight he should have shot with his weak foot rather than wait to give a teammate a tap in. But he's adjusted to his new dropping deep role brilliantly(not seen Kaz berate him for being offside for ages?) and is now scoring again.. He will continue to get better and more confident in his role, so show the lad some patience and stop writing him off everytime something doesn't come off for him.

I'm glad someone else has finally acknowledged the lack of offsides and how it's a sign that obviously he's been asked to play a different role to last season.

Good and bad in equal measures but we won easily so not too critical of the miss. Sterling and he are such ditherers when they have time to think. Give them a split second and they are much more clinical.

No denying he should have buried that 1v1 but he was superb all night, worked his arse off, lead the line brilliantly his overall game is improving constantly and he got his goal. fantastic game.

To me it wasn't that he didn't bury it.

If he went in on goal and missed, or the keeper saved it, I wouldn't be too pissed. I don't think as many others would be either.

It was the cowardice and timidness as soon as he got onto the ball. Even from way out he slowed down, dithered, and as someone in the match day thread said, his first, second, and third thoughts were to pass it. That's from a guy who many are touting as Aguero's heir.

It says a lot about his mentality and natural tendecies. I think he's a excellent poacher inside the penalty area - tonight reaffirmed that. He can get ugly goals. Outside it though, he's a total deer in the headlights.

Yeah pretty clear he was referring to Jesus and then Sterling’s in ability to dribble tonight
It is clear after tonight that Pep will go 100 per cent for a world-class striker in the summer (Haaland or Mbappe). Jesus is a great number 2. Pep will try to bring on Torres to eventually replace Raheem. The last thing a top team can do is stand still.
