He does have the qualities I think, I mean he was exactly the player we need before he joined us (direct, wide forward, scores goals)
The problem isn’t his talent, it’s his mindset. He’s lapped up whatever Guardiola sold him about teamwork, positioning and link up play. But he’s lapped it up way too eagerly. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pep finds an apple on his desk every morning from Gabby.
He’s a very talented player, but if our tactics and Pep’s philosophy are hindering his talents, he should move to another club where he isn’t pigeon holed into a system. If he had no instructions and was told to just play, I reckon he’d score more (I just hope this system hasn’t become ingrained in his natural game). Either that or grow up, and be a bit more selfish and self interested... though we know how that worked out for Leroy

His work rate is fantastic but his habit of taking 3, 4, 5 touches when only 1 or 2 is needed is not
He's our only forward player that does/tries one touch lay-offs/give & gos, rest of the team slow the game down

him or Sterling, not both. They both have the same lack of threat and weakness in front of goal and neither looked remotely like scoring today.
