No but its clearly a benchmark that any decent striker shouldn't have any problem with being measured against. If you are one of the top strikers in the world, 18 to 20 goals a season in the league is a good return. Not 9 or 10. I would argue its more important than the league cup and knocking rubbish teams out of the group stages of the CL. Or do you think otherwise?
Obviously.

P.S, lighten up Jurgen, it was a joke.

He's got the 6th best goals per minute in the 28 year old history of the Premier league. If that's poor, what's good?

He's scored 72 in 167 which is 0.44 - every other game.

That's inlcuding all games. If you include games where he played more than 15 minutes (ie strip away all the stupid 5-10 minute sub appearances that a back up striker racks up), it's 69 in 134.

As a starter in the league he's got 47 goals and 15 assists in 67 games. Do you people not realise how fucking incredible that record is? That is Kane/Aguero/Henry levels of production. 0.7 goals per game.

But he only gets to do that when he starts. This is exactly like Dzeko, who was struggling when he had to play second fiddle to Aguero and then we sell him for £9m and people are surprised when he scores 39 goals in 50 games for Roma.
You are quality, an argumentative bugger , but you know your onions:)

He cant dine out on two games

I might be wrong here but did we buy brazils number nine to make space for midfielders to score ? I just cant understand that , he should be demanding they make space for him, number one strikers do that , they are more selfish
He was often playing left wing for Palmeiras when we bought him tbf.

I think its a bit unfair to Gabby to be fair - you can't judge him against what you want him to be doing, judge him against what he's clearly instructed to do.

As i said this doesnt show that he has not progressed from a great start , it doesnt show progress stalled , what are his numbers for the last year say ?

Look yourself Kaz if you feel the need to call out our 23 year forward.

It doesnt show a lot of things Kaz. It doesn`t show how slow our team were getting the ball to our attack while playing with a double pivot. It doesn`t show how the oppositions defense has had time to get back in their own box in numbers.

At 23 years old he isn`t the greatest goal scorer we`ve ever had. but he`s one of the workers in our team who has the guts to get stuck in, help defend and make movements that give space for others on our team to score.

Who would you change him for. He cost us £27,000,000 who would we get who better.

You do realise where I showed you the top ten goals per minute scorers were only premier league scorers

On the left he had Sterling, Torres & Foden ahead of him in the pecking order.

As far as I remember, he didn't play once as LW for Brazil.

From what I saw so far, he didn't have the quality to be a left winger for any of the top 6 clubs.

The only position where I see him succeeding is CF.
