he is a big part on how we play, his movement drags people out of position and allows space for people like gundogan , he is doing a fantastic job, if people cant see he actually isn't playing as a main striker then i cant help them, he is a big part of a team that looks unbeatable, but i suppose we need something to have a whinge about.

Jesus and Rashford xG comparison in the Premier League
Jesus xG.PNG
Rashford xG.PNG

Look at the difference in minutes, I already talked about injuries and disruptions because Jesus had a new country and league to settle into at a young age, long term injuries and Aguero to compete with. Rashford has had a much smoother ride of it than Jesus in that respect. Rashford is still in the red in 3 of the previous 4 seasons, where the majority of the top 10 goal scorers in those seasons are in the green. Also note if Jesus had just scored one more goal this season his xG would near enough the same as Rashford's, the difference a couple of goals can make to this stat is quite big.

What about the rest of their attacking game as a whole?

Jesus stats.PNG
Rashford stats.PNG

Key:
G90 = Goals per 90min
xG90 = Expected goals per 90min
Sh90 = Shots per 90min
A90 = Assists per 90min
xA90 = Sum of expected goals off the players key passes per 90min
KP90 = Passes leading to a shot per 90min
xGChain90 = Total xG of every possession the player is involved in per 90min
xGBuildup90 = Total xG of every possession the player is involved in without key passes or shots per 90min

Side note: I found out the goals with each foot stats. Jesus has 23 with his right and 13with his left(9 headers). So Jesus is definitely more two footed than Rashford, who has less left footed goals with 48 extra appearances and not far off twice the amount of PL minutes. He has 41 with his right and 7 with his left(4 headers). Percentage wise Jesus has scored 36% of his goals(feet) with his weaker foot and Rashford has scored just 15% with his weaker foot.

Haha, who Messi or Jesus?
I don't one could ever condemn Jesus for lack of trying...

In reality Messi's conversion rates are so poor is because he's only had 54/113 (47.8%) in the penalty area. Meanwhile, Jesus is down in his neck of the woods but has had 26/29 (89.7%) of his shots within the penalty area.

So basically, Messi has given up on his team-mates and is twatting shots from everywhere, which makes them easier to save due to the long-range.

Class yesterday. Works harder than any other forward we have had in recent memory and his close control and link up play is ridiculous. He's David Silva'esq in tight spaces. I cant remember the defender that he sat on his arse, but the skill was glorious. He probably should have buried one of his chances but he offers so much more to this team that just goals.

Gabby strolled past Digne one of the best LBs in the league like he wasn’t there.

Needs to continue to start. Quality performance all around last night.
