It won't happen in my life time, but there should be a sin bin/temporary suspension rule introduced for that type of foul, "orange" as Pep suggested. They are too dangerous for a mere yellow but a little short of worthy of a red.
anyone that deliberately kicks a fellow professional is worthy of a red. You cannot know what damage its going to do so for me its a red all day long.

agree, no intention to get the ball, i remember nasri got something similar v newcastle and was out for a while , the commentators seem to brush it off, but it should be a red card, hopefully jesus wont miss any football.

the foul itself was a really bad one, studs to the ankle, fucking disgraceful

thought he was very poor today. played at striker and showed precisely why we really need a striker.

Poor indeed, I mean top striker put fear into defenders, you have Jesus with the ball against you and he wont punish you too often or turns a half chance into a goal often enough or score sitters regularly.
when a top striker arrives who has the killer instinct front of goal we never want to see Jesus playing there again.

He's far better on the wing.. like it's not even close.

Play him on the LW. Foden up top and Sterling/Mahrez on the right.

I want him to do well but so inconsistent. He’s not a top striker that we need

Wasn't great but look at how compact their defence was and how little service he was getting, zero from the left and not much from the right. Needs to be better but today that was predominantly a consequence of the service and the negativity of the opposition. No worries with him.

To be fair she has always said he’s a winger

Thought he was good today, great assist and excellent pressure to force the corner for the opener
He definitely is.

Even the botched counter for Mahrez, he did still cross it on target to him, just a little late.

I think maybe if Pep spent the summer assuring and focusing Jesus to be the CF then maybe he’d be better there, but now overtime (and even with Brazil) he has developed into a winger now.

We play better right now with a false 9 anyway, we’d need an exceptional striker to change it.

He was brilliant today. Nothing he could do about the lck of service first half but continued to offer himself with great runs and linkup then when he was pushed out to the left he showed sterling exactly what he should have been doing all game the first chance he got, took his marker on the outside and laid it on a plate.

In much the same way Bernardo makes everyone around him better, jesus makes our entire attack better when he's on the pitch
