Well,he's bringing it on himself to a degree.

I'm a big fan,but of late he is beginning to believe his own hype. He's developing into something of a prima donna with the constant crying for fouls and whining at the ref.....a bit of substance has gone from his game and he needs to rediscover that which made him a favourite with many.

That penalty was typical of the above,it was fucking embarrassing.
He has always been in refs faces. No change there. Critisicm of the penalty is deserved. There are those that go a great deal further though hence my comment.

It was a penalty saved low in the corner by the keeper. He’s just not very good at them.

If he isn't very good at them....then he should put his foot through the ball and leave any attempts at being a clever **** well alone.

He might be excellent at them in training. There was no attempt to be a “clever ****”. It was a fairly standard but poor pen, towards the bottom corner.

The only “clever ****” penalty I can think of was Aguero’s vs Chelsea, which cost us winning the league that day.

For a guy as honest and hard working as Jesus, it’s a very petty stick to beat him with.

As i previously said....a few things are beginning to grate with his performances, the penalty was a bit of icing.

no, he took like an insolent twat. He deserved a clip round the ear from Dinho for it.

What was so insolent about it? Are we talking about last nights pen, where he tried to simply place it in the corner but failed?
you mean the one where he strolled, tried to arrogantly swat it in the corner instead of running up and hitting it with conviction like FFS, and completely screwed it up, again? Complete lack of respect for the opportunity.

If he, let alone the club, don't know by now he can't take penalties then it begs belief.

Can't head the ball for toffee either.

Takes two or three extra touches virtually every time too.

I'm not a fan of his you could say..

You've kept it well hidden :}

Tried to give the keeper 'the eyes' but forget to open them. Approached the ball like he was going to hit it hard, decided to stall, and couldn't choose between prime Jorginho hop or Aguero panenka, spotted that the keeper had already committed to dive right and opted to pass it straight to his hands.

Fuckin useless penalty.

There’s players that score every penalty without “hitting it with conviction”.
He hit it in the bottom corner, it was saved.

Was Rodri showing a “a lack of respect” when just tried to place it? How about David Silva when he just passed one back?

I’d agree you had a point had he tried something fancy, a penenka or Jorginho, but he didn’t, it just wasn’t a very good pen. Something we’ve seen loads of.

Sterling was just as bad, but now seems to be our second choice, and scored our most important pen of the season to date. He was pathetic at them.

It seems if the player fouled wants it, he gets it. I assume that is based on training and how shit we have been at them.

it was nowhere near the corner. Lavinda's post sums it up well. When you have the record Jesus has, and when someone like FFS is showing you how to score them, you learn and adapt instead of trying the same nonsense that got him taken off pen duties in the first place.

I think it depends who's on the pitch at the time.

Whereas last night it was 3-0 and game over so I doubt Gundogan or Kev were fussed.

He's missed five out of his last nine... He shouldn't be allowed to take one even if we're 10-0 up. He's simply shit at them, I'd be more annoyed at Pep if he lets him take another and misses it.

You would expect our coaches might offer advice on the subject whilst players practice them ?
