If he, let alone the club, don't know by now he can't take penalties then it begs belief.
Can't head the ball for toffee either.
Takes two or three extra touches virtually every time too.
I'm not a fan of his you could say..
Tried to give the keeper 'the eyes' but forget to open them. Approached the ball like he was going to hit it hard, decided to stall, and couldn't choose between prime Jorginho hop or Aguero panenka, spotted that the keeper had already committed to dive right and opted to pass it straight to his hands.you mean the one where he strolled, tried to arrogantly swat it in the corner instead of running up and hitting it with conviction like FFS, and completely screwed it up, again? Complete lack of respect for the opportunity.

Err the penaltyWhat on earth are you on about?
it was nowhere near the corner. Lavinda's post sums it up well. When you have the record Jesus has, and when someone like FFS is showing you how to score them, you learn and adapt instead of trying the same nonsense that got him taken off pen duties in the first place. There’s players that score every penalty without “hitting it with conviction”.
He hit it in the bottom corner, it was saved.
Was Rodri showing a “a lack of respect” when just tried to place it? How about David Silva when he just passed one back?
I’d agree you had a point had he tried something fancy, a penenka or Jorginho, but he didn’t, it just wasn’t a very good pen. Something we’ve seen loads of.
I think it depends who's on the pitch at the time.Sterling was just as bad, but now seems to be our second choice, and scored our most important pen of the season to date. He was pathetic at them.
It seems if the player fouled wants it, he gets it. I assume that is based on training and how shit we have been at them.
