Only repeating what the fat Nostradamus of trafford (AKA howson) proclaimedYou’re really on one tonight aren’t you matey?
It's the number of points we're getting deductedI am still puzzled as to why we have the 1894 on the badge ? Shouldn't it be 2008 the year we were formed?
Pretty sure you could also do it at the ground near the ticket officeA lot gets lost to me these day, but I do remember, with the current badge,
season ticket holders at the time chose what we wanted the new badge to look like,it was via
the cityzens website or emails, they gave you options to chose, like did you want the 3 rivers of manchester on the badge etc.
Time flies when your having fun.
The date irks me.Bloody red rose grrrr........

The New Badge & Pep’s Arrival
On this day (3 July) in 2016 the new Manchester City badge was officially launched at the Cityzens Weekend. It was also the formal official welcome for new manager Pep Guardiola. There was a surrea…gjfootballarchive.com
You reckoned it was worth repeating several times?Time flies when your having fun.
There was a whole series of consultation activities, including a series of talks that I presented that were free to attend. I went into the history of every element and some aspects, such as the history of the red rose on the badge, were explained in detail. Other Manchester logos, symbols etc such as the bee, were also included and fans were able to say what elements they wanted. It was the most detailed and involved badge consultation any club had ever performed.
Ha ha, Eccles I am awaiting an order of one of those!I know I do have a bit of a struggle with that so I bought a Blue Moon Rose bush. Wow oh wow is it a beautiful rose. :-)
Hahaha I remember this so clearly !!!!!!!! ….and I hated the old badge with the eagles or whatever the hell they were - that was a shit badge lolPep Guardiola brings no guarantee of success
I did a series of presentations on the badge and wrote articles for those on how the badge evolved. Much of the material on its history at the consultation came from the material I did. Maybe I could write an article for www.GHFootballArchive.com soon?Have you written anything about how our badge has evolved? Particularly early history of it.
Also who added the Ship Canal to their badge first City or United?
City had a whole series of badges designed based on the elements fans chose. I don’t know how they reached their final selection though. Are there any versions that nearly made the cut?
The fact that ‘City’ at the bottom of the badge isn’t curved and is straight makes my ‘design/marketing’ teeth grind.
Me too, born in Manchester, Lancashire it says so on my birth certificate.Just like shiella,I'll always be a Lancastrian and proud. ;-)
