A Bit More of City Dissapears.........

First it'll be the warehouse, then the ticket office. Next the whole place will be moving to Middleton in order to save money and be eligible for the £2,500 warmsure grant towards the cost of a new boiler and insulation.

Perhaps Garry Cook lives in Middleton and he doesn't like driving back and forward when he's filled his boot with the 'missing' merchandise the warehouse reports each week. The new depot at Middleton will mean less journeys and it's much easier bagging the stuff there and going straight to his local Post Office and send it on to his E-bay clients.

So there's another possible reason for the move, better security at the new premises to minimise theft.

If working 5/6 miles further down the road is a major problem for people then I would love to be their position. I do 700 miles a week just driving to and from work.

From a customer perspective I cant see them being any worse than City are currently.
And reckon I could bet my house on the deal only being exclusive to sales/distribution of merchaniding rather than city selling them allo merchandising rights, to start with we have a long term contract with Umbro.

Theres some bloody drama queens about.

Can Bluemoon-mcfc get a banner made supporting the fight from the huge profits it generates?
Could hang it across the East Stand so the board can see it?

Isnt it easy how line's like......" if you dont like it, get another job" slip off the tongue when your not on the receiving end of it...........

Dunno about WWIII, I was just trying to make a little point about materialism affecting all of us... War in Iraq is over Oil Compnay profits... City getting rid of people doesn't affect me but will cause people some headaches at home...

As for travelling 700 miles for work a week... ever thought about your carbon Footprint for that many miles a week

[Edit] 2800 miles a month = 9.912 tonnes of CO2 a year... in a 40MPG vehicle [Edit]

I took a job close to my home, got rid of me car, and get public transport. I hate it but doing my bit. However now my job is under minor threat from the new Government and its kinda annoying...

Fingers crossed for everyone

But would you feel the same way if you was losing your job working for the club you love, perhaps a few others on this thread should ask themeselves that question before they comment.

I've been unemployed for 12 months - I'll go to f***ing Middleton
Fair play, that's quite a commute ;)

Although City are getting rid of people, they are transfering their contracts to Kitbag. Nobody is losing their job as such.

Be careful not to make comments based on other peoples misleading, and often wrong, statements rather than the OPs.

I admire your commitment to the environment though. Now switch off your computer and stop wasting electricity!

Don't mention the Y**s. I mention them once but I think I got away with it alright.

Can't say I have a particularly strong opinion on this matter, other than a lot of sympathy with people, anyone, who loses their job or can't continue due to circumstances beyond their control.

However, I think the opening poster is a bit misguided expecting any sort of human comments on here.

Most of the tossers on here would happily see every third City fan shot at dawn if they could guarantee that they weren't one of those being shot and it meant that gold taps were installed in the bogs or Wayne Bridge got a pair of new boots.

The amount of "it's progress, tough shit you ****s, deal with it" attitudes towards other City fans on display on a variety of subjects on here in recent months is ridiculous

To be fair JMA I think most would have sympathy for someone losing their job, on the other hand I wouldn't expect many to care much for someone complaining because they no longer have the MCFC crest on their payslip - a job is a job these days!
