I really enjoy reading Martin Samuels. Not that I always agree with him (although I do most of the time) it's just that his articles are so balanced and well written.

Me too Sharon...he's pretty much the only journalist who can write an editorial which I can read to the end. I like his writing style as well...

He actually skims the surface to begin with and draws you in, then plummets the depths to explain his reasoning. As you say his writing style is wonderful, it's like reading a good novel sometimes. He is the complete opposite of "lazy journalism."

Mmmmm....not a fan of Kelly, personally. However, maybe he is upping his game a little? Samuel is a hard act to follow after all. Kelly seems to ebb and flow in that he isn't brave enough to say what he really wants to and tempers it. Unless it's about us or someone else outside the Big Four.......then he is a complete shit.

I've said this before but I would love to see a brave journalist shove a mike under Ferguson's nose this season and say "So, your son................where were we again?"
