I think Bobby wants an out and out right back, Boateng will be our right back if we can't get Maicon imo.

Mario balotelli can be bought and he won't affect the 25 man squad rule as he's under the age of 20!

I know tolmie said it looks like we've pulled the plug but imo i think we still want the boy(wrongly or rightly)

Bridge will go to red dippers, Garrido will cover Kolarov (should the deal be made official)

All the above are just my opinion nothing more...

agree, although dont think we are after Torres. when boateng signed didnt bobby say to him that he would be competing with Lescott and Kompany? so that means as you say, he wants an out and out rb. Maicon would be a fantastic signing, best rb in the world.

cant see bridge leaving, he will still get a place in the many cup competitions we'll be involved in. I would rather keep him as cover than Garrido

But you have to ask yourself, who is more likely to buy into the squad system and spend long periods out of the starting XI waiting for opportunities. Garrido or Bridge, I think bridge see's himself as a regular starter where as we know that Garrido is happy to sit and play second fiddle without rocking the boat while still buying into the squad ethic as opposed to team ethic.

Nixon, I agree with you 100% mate. Yes it would be great to have Bridge as a 'back up', am sure he doesn;t feel that way.

Agreed but as we know Bridge has been happy to be a squad player in the past!

Top wages till 2013 would be a consolation for Bridge as he warms the bench

The squad players i.e. Bridge, Zabaleta, SWP etc are going to get 30 to 40 games this season due to the amount of games we have (if we progress in the cup competitions of course).

I don't think we'll see the back 4 being rotated very much.
