People have a right to post even the most ridiculous or unlikely transfer rumours.
People have a right to respond with their opinion on the validity of these rumours.
People DO NOT have a right to tell people what they should think.
FACT.

But Mr.De Niro, people get banned, even if they are civil, simply for expressing the opinion that the transfer rumour is bull**** or that in their opinion the ITKer is not ITK.
Which leaves people, such as myself, tending to think that the entire reason that the ITKers are protected in this way is to protect the site traffic.
You are free to register your opinion on any topic. The problem is not someone coming into a thread and saying I think this rumour is bullshit. No one has ever been banned for this as far as I know. The problem is when a poster comes on a thread and proceeds to relentlessly attack and hound another poster over the veracity of the info they have posted. This is unacceptable both because it destroys the thread for everyone else and because it leads to posters feeling that they can't post any info that they hear. Remember this is the transfer forum, we are here to read the latest RUMOURS about who we might sign and not a bloody lecture on epistemology!
If you think a rumour is bullshit go ahead and say so but then piss off and leave the thread to those who actually want to discuss it.
