A new city badge?

The new badge is a little too close to this rag badge for my liking...<<WARNING SITE CONTAINS RAG STUFF>>

Like Nicky D's idea of replacing the stars with bee's!!
Think the badge should still have the red rose incoperated in it some where!!!! whether changing the stars for red roses would work probably not!! but it's an idea and either bee's or roses have a more historical feel for me!!!
The badge if I'm right was changed when Kappa designed the kit (correct me if I'm wrong) to give it a more continental feel.

Keep our badge, love it with the pheonix rising from the ashes. A sign of the good times that are coming

Let's have the old badge back. The new one goes with the days of the third division, playing league games against Macclesfield and Wycombe and those dreadful 'lazer' blue shirts.

Surely the chairman has enough cash to buy the rights for the old badge. I'd like him to make it his number two off-field priority, after sorting out the shambolic and disgraceful ticket office.

Or why not have no shirt badge at all? That's how it was in the glory days. Mulhearn to Coleman didn't need a badge to kiss while they were wining the title.

Wouldn't have looked out of place on a flagpole at a Nuremberg Rally that. Yeuch.

I am not that arsed as we changed a few years back, however if you look at Chelsea when Roman Abramovich took over they rebranded with a new badge and I feel it improved the image of the club and made it more recognisable world wide so it could work for us too.

lol. I just got through explaining it is an eagle, and off we go again with the phoenix routine. IT DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE A BLOODY PHOENIX!

For the hundredth time in the last year:

It is a european golden eagle, which was adopted by Rome, and it appears on the badge because of the XX Legion that had elements garrisoned at Castlefields. I mean, you think I'm making this up, or just not reading the thread?
