A new city badge?

So we need a pidgeon with a red rose for lancs, some bees, three rivers and the words manchester city.

But we dont want the stars as they are for decoration only.

Seems simple enough.

Could I also say that we should add the 1880/1894 date so that people in other countries know we predate the set-up of the prem' league.

I will only wear what are now called retro shirts and with a decent badge displaying true Manchester origins. The classic round badge or the 1976 cup winners badge are acceptable.

No "here today-gone tomorrow" advertising sullying the shirt (at least Barcelona and I think Racing Santander) have no commercial adverts to this day on them. Still some class then out there.

And the current badge? sorry it looks plastic-like and nouveau riche with no heritage. Even the cod- Latin lacks credibility.

Save your money and buy a shirt that lasts and that you can be proud of through thick and thin.

You can cut many advertising /promotional deals in many other different less intrusive ways.

Thats the one, never mind our current badge 'representing City around the world' this badge actually has our name on it! No stupid stars that leave us open to ridicule either. If this badge was slightly updated and put on the shirt the way Umbro have done this year it would look amazing. This is Our City.

I would try and combine this with the currentt badge, you could have Manchester City across the top, with Superlia In Prolio across the bottom, with a combo of designs in the middle of the circle.

I'd go for something like 'Playing football since 1880' as evidence of our club playing football exists from November 1880, a week earlier than evidence of utd's first recorded game as Newton Heath. We should ignore 1894 as they (and others such as Everton) talk of their formation date as being earlier than their name change.

So "Football since 1880" or something similar would work.

Im not gonna be abusive or anything like that, but the 'new' badge is likely to be far more popular with fans below 25
