Pitch invasions are part of the theatre of football so I'd love there to be one. The players won't care, they'll laugh about it later. But I'd be very surprised if there is this time,

I'd anticipate a huge ring of stewards and repeated PA warnings insinuating the title will be given to Liverpool should we invade the pitch.

That's if we win the title first though.............................

Of course. It isn't done yet.

We could go for a rerun of the 1987 uptown park game where they got on the pitch, clapped our fans and chanted "loyal supporters" at us.

Or a rerun of my first visit to Upton Park where half the coach windows were put through. ;-)

I think it's a disgrace that the club don't provide zip wires to allow those of us in Level 3 to join in the fun so if I can't join in the rest of you can stay off the pitch.

Hahah I agree

When they build that slide they announced in early April, it should be reversible so as to deliver you all to the pitch rather than the car park.

Could I plead to all City fans,if we win the League, could you please refrain from going onto the fucking pitch after the final whistle and let the players enjoy that special moment. You only had to look at those scenes last time,as the players looked dumbfounded and shocked at the time as they clearly could not enjoy a few minutes by themselves as a group.
You know it makes sense.Let them have the glory and not you.
Kill joy ?? Maybe, but I know what I`d prefer to see.
Cant remember it happening at Ragsville,Chelsea etc.

spoilsport, the MEN had a red felt tip to circle all the empty seats.

Give it 10 minutes and that will be posted on RAWK as a possiblity

There's some right happy chaps on this forum, Don't run on the pitch, Don't sing about Steven Gerrard, Don't leave early, Don't sing about United, Don't talk about a parade, FFS get a life !

"On the pitch, on the pitch, on the pitch"

If there's one thing we can do well, it's a pitch invasion.

Since when was football about the players? It's about the fans, it's about what you get out of it.

The iconic imagery from the last win were the shots and footage of the fans. No one's really arsed about a shot of Kolarov with a medal round his neck, but everone remembers the guy crying on his knees, the older fella being led off the pitch, the lads with the banner, the blue smoke, etc.

It's in our "History".

It makes us look a bit small time.

I could understand last time because we were waiting for so long to be the pinnacle of English football again.

I don't get this idea of small time. Pitch invasions are natural for an end of season success. It's unnatural IMO to stop it.

'If' and I say 'If' we win the title on Sunday what will be will be, just remember there will be many blues there who didn't have the privelage of getting in to see us win the league last time, who are you to slate them if they wish to run on the pitch and soak up the moment?

Let ppl enjoy it ffs and cheer up, after the excellent display lastnite it despairs me that all you can think of posting is a fucking moan about fellow blues. God help the poor cunts who stand beside you, you seem a rite barrel of laughs.

You've got no chance Oakie

The usual retards, knob heads, piss heads and I wanna be on TV muppets have every intention of spoiling it again
Fucking hell, I'm not asking for it to happen again but this sums up how miserable our fans are ffs!

This is why our atmosphere is so shite, because of the sit down, be quiet kill joys.

It doesn't happen at United and Chelsea because maybe they not as passionate as us. I for one think it's a great show of emotion and I think the players would prefer a bit more passion. They keep telling us to lift atmosphere enough anway.

To be honest I don't think there will be one anyway, unless we won it in the style of last time.
Exactly some of these miserable gets need to look themselves in the mirror! Do you think if Zaba was a City fan instead of a footballer he wouldn't have run on the pitch after those scenes we witnessed?

I completely agree I understand why it happened last time, but it makes us look "small time". I'm in CB level 3 and stand no chance of getting down there .

Does it fuck.
Small time... we hadn't won the league in 44 years!!!

It's just my opinion to which of course I am fully entitled ;)

I don't really care either way but I think for those of us who can't get to the pitch it is slightly frustrating.

I don't get the 'small time' allegations either, stupid saying that. If passion like the scenes we saw 2 years ago are small time then I'll take small time all day long.

Picture this, Liverpool take an early lead on Sunday, whilst we are growing increasingly nervous with two buses of Claret and Blue between us and the goal. Early in the second half, whilst throwing bodies forward searching for the goal, West Ham counter attack and grab an unlikely goal against the run of play, just like against QPR. A tough last half an hour with no goal, the clock ticks onto 90, and four minutes of injury time comes up. The fans urging the team forward, with only 60 seconds left to play, the ball bobbling about around a sea of bodies trying to stab it home, it rolls to the edge of the area, where Yaya sticks his foot through it and bursts the back of the net, just like the FA Cup final 3 years ago. The last minute equaliser hands us the league, and the stadium explodes.

Now are you telling me you aren't gonna get caught up in the emotion just like we all did 2 years ago? Assuming going through that stressful 90 minutes again doesn't give you a heart attack and kill you, which I admit is a high possibility, I don't think you'll be complaining too much if the pitch gets flooded with City fans. We've received a fair bit of stick this season as fans saying we are losing our soul, we don't care as much any more, blah blah blah. In my opinion seeing 20,000 fans burst onto the pitch in tears would be the greatest way of saying "so we don't care as much anymore eh?"

I went on the pitch last time, crying like a scouser because of intense emotions.
I've no intentions of doing so this time if we win it but I haven't got a problem with anybody who does as long as they come off pretty sharpish
