A question for those who remember the bad old days ... which is more nerve wracking, relegation last days or title deciders?

I know exactly what you mean. Bloody horrible days. Especially after the Rags started routinely winning trophies after a few years with Fergiesum.
96 was awful and showed what a shambles we were in, holding the ball in the corner to protect a draw when we needed a win, and united winning a double which prior to 1994 didnt happen often.

Luton hurt like he'll, all the rest took in my stride even Stoke, accepted we were shit and enjoyed the ride. Now any failure to win feels like the end of the world, wish I could stop feeling our season went down the toilet in two minutes In Madrid. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong by 6pm today.

Blackburn away was the most nervous I’ve ever been. The second division was a very tough league to get out of in those days and getting b2b promotions was amazing considering the shit we’d had in the preceding years

These was more nerve racking than any title decider

Agree with this.

I was just thinking to myself this morning which is worse loosing at Stoke to get relegated or loosing to red scoucers today, Stoke for me

Yes, you're absolutely right about the Ipswich one. I mentioned it because the behaviour pof Ipswich fans that day was beyond shite. Hated them ever since. But we went into a couple of games at least with a chance of saving ourselves and it didn't happen. That's more what I was talking about. Funnily enough though, we went into a couple of last day promotion games and managed to win those. Four at least, actually, if you count the play-off final. They were equally nerve wracking. It was VS Blackburn, Bradford and Charlton as well, I seem to remember. Back in the inflatable banana days. It's nice to reminisce about how far we've come since then, anyway, you have to admit.
Yep - they were so chuffed with themselves that they'd worked out that 'down' and 'town' rhymed. They're the nearest we've got to duelling banjos in this country. Even now, when they are a footballing irrelevance to us, still they inflict Ed Sheeran on the world.
