This by no means is a 'I want to get your back up' kind of question. Its a genuine question which, in most cases, (depending on the mental age of the poster), should be a one word answer. My question is this. You wanted Hughes gone, fair enough that was your opinion, however based on how we're playing and how we STILL are not beating teams we 'should' be beating, are you still of the mindset that he should have gone? As i say its a genuine question and i'd appreciate genuine answers, not answers off little no-marks like Soulboy who just berate anything against anything Blue. I know you weren't 'Hughes outers, Mancini Inners', therefore Mancini was probably not on your minds, but now you have had your wish and Hughes is gone, we're out of the cup and doing equally as poor in the league under Mancini, do you still think it was right to get rid?

100% delighted. I wanted Mancini in at the start of 2009.

We are doing far better in the league under Mancini - to suggest otherwise is a distortion of reality.

we're 4th mate, Mancini has now W5 D1 L2
16 points from 8 games
how is that so bad, we're not playing great but we picked up a point away tonight and we still win at home, what is so seriously wrong with that?

I would'nt say being 4th in the league with a game in hand is being poor.

I think expectations of excellence every game are the problem.

How many time over the years have you had a chat with your red friends, and they have said they did'nt play well, but they still won?

We are not out of the cup, we are 4th in the league, with a game in hand.

Is there nothing positive you can take from this that will make you optimistic?

Wow wow, no I too am happy under Mancini. I think its obvious from my staunch support of Hughes that whoever is in charge, I will support. I have created the thread cos there are so many negative threads against Mancini and whilst I am not exactly going through rolls of bog roll over our performances, I am more than happy to be mid feb and 4th with a game in hand. Was just wondering if those same Hughes outers were now Mancini outers, seeing as Hughes was on course to achieve 4th but still not getting the team t play to its potential, just like Mancini isn't....

We'd probably play better if we had Rooney in the side... now that would be a team worth supporting!

Yes and we are beating (most) of the teams we should be beating like Pompey and Bolton. The only result/performance I have been disappointed with under Mancini is Hull away. We had a run of four games (Pompey, Hull, Bolton & Stoke) which I wanted 10 points and we took 7. Under Hughes we had a similar run of games (Wigan, Fulham, Birmingham & Burnley) where again I wanted 10 points and we got 4.

I said in another thread we are now at the business end of the season and at the right end of the table for the first time in about 30+ years and I don't care now how we get the results as long as we get them.

Hughes was clueless. We would have been well beaten tonight with hughes's organisational skills.

Question to the OP.....

Would you rather be fourth with a game in hand (playing turgid football at times tbf) and the second best form team in the league or 6/7th looking like heading for mid-table and also playingturgid football??

Would you rather be a replay away from the qf of the cup or getting beat by forest ?

Would you rather have a manager who deals with the laziest player to ever grace a city shirt or one who tippy tappy's around him cos he's frightened of his ego?

I'm 39 and the only season I can remember where we murdered teams was the

keegan promo season. There is a myth on this site that we played exciting football under MH. we didn't. Obviously.

Oh and we are NOT out of the cup.

I prefer Mancini to Hughes.

He gets points and points make prizes.

Not sure why people are still bleating about Hughes, like he'd have win any of the games Mancini failed to win. Laughable.
