Football these days is a business - of that there's no doubt, whether we like it or not.
Now if I had a bit of cash and wanted to invest in a business... any business - as an example let's say a printers.
Now i'd want that business to flourish, so i'd invest my money - buy the latest presses, employ better staff etc., and i'd then try and make it the best printers in the town, country etc.
Sure the competition wouldn't be happy... but answer me this Bumbles... would it be wrong?
And how about you - do yo do the lottery, have a cheeky flutter in the bookies, go to bingo..?
If you won millions would you not spend them, as that would be money you haven't earned... or are you the curtain twitching, jealous bastard neighbour tut tutting?
I would just like to point out too that this statement...
is very very wrong - the money the Rags made, in the early 90's leading up to this golden period for them was predominantly made from merchandising and prostituting the club.
To do this they shafted (and continue to do so) the fans left right and centre.
So basically that statement says that while you think having a 'sugar daddy' is terrible a club exploiting it's own fans is ok!
United are the football personification of Gordon Gekko from the film 'Wall Street'
"Greed is good" was the motto of your board!

but at least the money came form the fans...no sugar daddy...so the succes was " bought" by the fans...I can live with that ...it feels better
