A reply to Mancini's MEN advert in La Gazzetta Dello Sport

Is there actually a post in this thread that says, "Fuck the new guy, Mancini forever and ever amen?" It's mine and 700+ other people's way of saying thanks to a manager that has given me some of my best footballing memories ever. It's not an indictment on the board or our future manager. It's a celebration of the last three years and a final chapter in the book of Mancini. I realize some people are not happy unless they're moaning about something or someone, but to actually come into a thread that has nothing about what you apparently value or are interested and post bollocks about the people that do care about it..... jesus, give it a break. It's pretty sad.

Exactly, people are just saying thank you for moments many of us never thought we would see. It's quite uplifting.

This wouldn't have happened if Roberto hadn't placed his own ad in the MEN. There was always a LOT of support for Mancini during his tenure, and he was classy in recognising that. In return, we are being classy in responding using the same medium AND raising a bit of cash for some worthy causes. I predict other fans will do this in the future, but they will never be the first.

FWIW, now we know some small detail of the tense relationships between management, players and board, it probably is the right decision for our club. However I will never forget the last few years and hope he continues to achieve success wherever he ends up.

Totally agree - this is the fans gesture of their own choice to thank Mancini for the wonderful moments we have experienced in the last 3 years. We are all looking forward to the future with hope and will support the new Manager whoever he is. Roberto is also a Legend in my eyes and I wish him success in his future. This is a way of closing the chapter on the Mancini years and moving forward. CTID !!!!!!
