Think back to the Manchester Thanks Sheikh Mansour banner. That cost was well over a grand if I remember correctly and we raised it.
I'M 100% sure we could get to the figure quoted by Gazzetta. It would go viral.
Also press Gazzetta about the free world wide advertising they would get from such an add. ;-)

thanks pb92 but I think some of us need the figure to know if were pissing in the wind with this or not. Once we have a target perhaps then we can contribute and lobby our higher profile blue friends for contributions. But I suspect unless we know its feasable or not people will keep their money in their pockets.

Just looked at prices in m local newspapers and the full page ad goes as much as 3-4k pounds, and that's for papers sold in 20-30k pcs per day.
You might try with smaller, non full page ad otherwise you might have problems collecting needed amount.

Money is staying in pockets. Not going to take donations until I've gaged proper interest.
It's no good people guessing quotes, I'm negotiating the best price based on publicity and fan based donations only.

I think it's almost certainly going to have to be smaller than full page, unless we just put one in the MEN. Full page ads in national publications of any kind usually run from tens to hundreds of thousands of pounds. With all the will in the world it's a lot of money to say thank you.
