A s**t away end full of tourists

I’ve not caught up with the whole thread but just a thought. Sometimes a Branch gets a few extra tickets for its nearest away game or two. It’s not that far from Eccles / Salford to Merseyside as we all know and it’s not practicable to give every Greater Manchester branch extra tickets for the away Derby.

Last season, my Branch get a few extra for Newcastle and Sheff Utd away.
i help run knutsford. we were told our "home" fixture was norwich...

I got an email from City this morning saying I was one of a select few who had been chosen to fill in a survey about how I was feeling. Perfect timing really considering how tickets find there way to a group of Barcelona fans in the away end at Anfield. I will always attend, follow and get behind the team but the way I feel about the club is changing. However maybe its not the club and its football in general.

You see when folk go on about the club’s allocation of tickets, you know x% to hospitality, x% to under 25s etc., x% to the OSC no one then says but how do the OSC allocate them to the branches.
Yes there are a lot of branches and they need to be allocated. But it would be good if that were more transparent.
I hasten to add that I have no axe to grind in this. When I went to every match home and away and in Europe (oh happy, heady days) I had built up my loyalty points to such an extent that I just applied for one on my allocated day. Which was normally first or second day!
So how are the OSC tickets awarded? Percentage wise, however many you ask for, the distance from the away game as suggested here, or just randomly how KP decides?
I appreciate and acknowledge that KP does a good job for the most part but it would help if there were more transparency. :-)

Just football in general. A direct consequence of the ridiculous financial rules in place. Villa charging nearly £100 for CL games, rags increasing costs to £66 for kids! Where will it stop? I was happy to see empty seats against Feyernoord. It’s the only message that our club will understand. Whether they are arsed about it remains to be seen.

Edit - having said that, I’ve just read that Brentford have reduced their kids ticket prices to £10! Hats off to them!

Cheadle and Bredbury definitely up there as his favourites and well looked after. The rest of the OSC's get the scraps. Anyway, that's another topic ;-) My view is 90% of away allocation should now be going to points, with naunces for the younger generation.
If Barcelona fans or fans of any other team want to watch a City game then come to the Etihad, that's all that has to happen. Can you imagine the reaction of fans if City fans in their replica tops turned up in an away end just because they fancied watching a game. It makes no sense and if these tickets have been allocated to staff members it makes even less sense as the club haven't been able to sell them at inflated prices. All they have done is piss off people on 22k points or less who couldn't buy a ticket via the points system which is there to reward loyalty. I would go 80% points, 10% 18 -25, 5% hospitality although not sure why they can't be included in the points pot and the rest to players and coaching staff. If other staff members like merchandising, club shop, cleaners, receptionists etc want to watch a game then it's a home match they can have tickets for unless of course they have the required points.

We all agree the system is broken mate but putting nonces in with our young fans is a non starter as far as I’m concerned
