A s**t away end full of tourists

I hope it happens. I'm really hoping we form a supporters union, to challenge the club aggressively.
Nothing will happen.

We are that successful and a huge global brand nowadays, that the club knows that the demand for tickets far outweighs the supply 10 fold over.

we can protest all we want!!

Just look down the road at what the rags have been doing for years. Green and Gold scarves, breaking into the ground, bedsheets with messages. And what has happened there. Fuck all.

We are the minions in all of this.

Sadly, I agree with you.

But still believe our voices need to be heard. I saw one suggestion that a boycott that doesn't risk our season tickets would be scan our season tickets and not go through the turnstiles, or stay on the concourse for the game leaving 1000s of empty seats, particularly in the south stand.

Can't see it happening though, although I would partake if requested to do so by one of the of the fan groups.

Does it? Why are we struggling to sell out games then?

Without our core support attending it’s really noticeable in the ground. It’s only going to take a season or two of no success for all the glory hunters to F off as well

Let’s just not protest then.. do nothing. Protests never make a difference - £30 away tickets, safe standing, the super league..fans made the difference.

Liverpool fans walked out a few season ago and they scrapped a ticket price rise

Ironically, Barça’s ‘Ultras’ boycotted the second half and didn’t return to the stands after they saw their arses that about 40,000 Eintracht Frankfurt fans attended the Camp Nou for their Europa League ¼ final a few years ago.

I’m sure the guy who posted it was passing on information he’d heard in good faith. But I find it very hard to believe they’re seriously considering ditching ticket transfer.

They’ve put a lot of effort recently in trying to get as many people as possible actually in the ground. Pushing the exchange and the flexi tickets.

This would inevitably lead to many more empty seats at every game.

I don’t even see what they’ve particularly got to gain from it, apart from seriously pissing off a lot of hardcore fans.

Short story.
Old Trafford a few seasons ago.
Tourist in the away end comes into the toilets wearing a half and half scarf.
Half and half scarf is ripped off his neck and thrown into the piss trough.
Half and half scarf is continuously pissed on and stays in the piss trough.
Tourist gets the message.
Tourist won’t do it again.

Can’t understand what’s wrong with tourists, isn’t that what happens when you become successful as a club?

And, won’t those tourists fill those extra seats in the extension, spending loads in the club shop, advertising our club across the globe?

Or do we want our club to stay pure Mancunian, forgetting about the global PL economy?
