A striker in January

I'm absolutely starting to wonder if we will do any business at all. We've worked our arses off to comply with FFP this season so why would we just mess that up now ?

Our budget is less than £10m if stay within the rules, what can we get that's even worth getting for that price
Oh I don't know how about a yacht.. ;-)

I could keep it docked in that puddle at the bottom of the path in my garden

Thought our limit during the summer was £49m net....and we actually spent £15m net.

Doesn't that leave us £34m for January?

Haha, although I've heard that wouldn't be a problem, your garden is as big as a football pitch...anyhow have we not a bit more than £10mill to spend and what if players go out..

Simon Mullock says we have a budget of £33m and he is more informed than most in the press - and adds that the 'suggestion' is City will resist dipping into the market next month.

And Lavezzi would be an average signing, at least on a permanent. 6 month loan might be OK. For one he isn't a real striker and if we're looking for a goal scoring winger we should aim for younger as pace is important in that role more than any other. And secondly, he has been pretty bad for PSG and could be on the decline. He only really flourished in a counter attacking system. Apparently Inter and Valencia want him, clubs on a lower level than us now.

Someone else who also sees Lavezzi as grossly overrated.

Shone in an impressive, pacey, counter-attacking Napoli outfit, but that's it.

Better options out there, IMO.

Rather we get Cavani from PSG on loan if possible, he didn't show up to practice either, a loan deal until summer with a clause to buy at summer, to avoid Arsenal buying him.

Without question! Aguero and cavani would run riot! Maybe a loan with a guaranteed deal in the summer involving yaya?
