A thread about protesters

No, I would have probably been amongst the protesters.
The army would not now be bayoneting and shooting peaceful protesters, decisions made
in 1819 by magistrates are not applicable now, just like laws hanging children for stealing bread.

You are applying current standards and morals to those of a previous century. Apparently, we are not allowed to do this. The Ancient Citizen of the day would have cheered on the army, and supported the law of the day with regard to children stealing bread.

People that champion authoritarianism are rarely found in the streets fighting or protesting the state.

I wasn't the one who brought up the previous century, and the one in question is
actually the one before that, I just said that I'd be amongst the protesters, as they were
peaceful but you've ignored it, never mind.
You support lawbreakers, everyone must be free to do whatever they like, somehow
I don't think many will agree.

I said of ‘a previous century‘, not ‘the previous century’, and you would not be among the ‘lawbreakers’ of any century because you do not support lawbreakers. Your own words and attitudes tell us exactly where you would stand and that is not among the lawbreakers protesting in the street.

If a law was brought in next year that meant every person who had a cock in the country over the age of 21 had their cocks chopped off I assume you would be quite happy to say "its the law, goodbye Pornhub" and present yourself to the axeman forthwith for removal of your cock.

And your acceptance of lawbreakers you happen to like tells the rest of us that people like you are simply a noisy group of nutters. The courts agree.

Where you get everything wrong, is when your assumption mode goes into overdrive. If you don’t like certain laws, get campaigning against them, but lay off the superglue, otherwise Christmas in a cell is the result.
