A thread about protesters

Ive read the conspiracy theory lunacy elsewhere, and its bollocks, this was exclusively the work of self entitled, left wing, fucktards - wankers who knowingly or otherwise cause far more harm than good in society.
Not sure how you know that, I've got an open mind, and I've been brought up on things like A Very British Coup. Excellent series of anyone gets a chance.

I agree, in some respects I am a RWNJ, in others not. Because of the deaths/covid I am against any meetings, gatherings or protests but I would not want a government, any government, to use it as an excuse to sneak bad legislation in.
I would hope the opposition would be very vocal but that also relies on a fair media, see my previous post.
The Covid laws should have gad an end date, if restrictions were still needed a new law could be brought in. At the moment they have the right to simply extend the powers it gives them.

There is an end date for the Covid emergency powers isn't there? They are looking to extend until October which is way beyond the date for which the requirements to isolate etc are set to end hence the ire of the CRG who think its disproportionate.

The Crime and Policing Bill is a separate issue altogether but the two are being conflated.

These people are anti establishment/anti authority/anti anything that doesnt allow them to behave as they want or accept the word 'no'.

The core beliefs of left wing extremists - scum that think the world owes them an existence.

I realise they are 2 separate issues. I did not realise there was a definate date the Covid laws end, if so that is the correct way to do it. (well done Boris)
I am still wary of the police and crime bill though.

I take it you’re not a fan?
Im not a fan of any extremist,or for that matter.....any individual,or group, that causes hate, misery or destruction.

Society has allowed these types to exist and breed without fear of genuine repercussion. Its way past the time that those with the ability/authority began dealing with such properly.

The future is looking decidedly wank at present.

Hello Donald

I think it's possible to know they're 'fucktards' by their actions. Guessing at their politics or how they think is not so clever.
Maybe, but ive offered my thinking and opinion and i'm very happy with it.

Like i said, glad we have found mutual ground on our description.

Thats what Steve Baker and his motley CRG crew are angry about in that they would extend until October when the legal restrictions end 21st April if I am remembering right and he thinks the 6 month extension is excessive and we should all be free to get back into Spoons and go dogging at the end of April.

I think in some cases its ignorance but in other cases there is a deliberate attempt to make people believe they are both one and the same thing - it can be used by those on both sides of the argument

I take it you support such criminal behaviour?
I abhor people taking the Donald line and blaming without any scintilla of evidence or corroboration.

Every time there is a protest the RW always trot out the same old tired lines about the great unwashed, far left agitating scum,

Even if there was a protest by a group of middle class yummy mummies against the colour of the lollipop ladies hat at the crossing outside a preparatory school, the same old RW nonsense would be trailed out by the same old RW lunatics saying it was obvious that the great unwashed far left agitating scum were behind the raspberries blown at Mrs Rowbotham-Clarkson the lollipop lady.

Nobody supports criminal behaviour, apart from criminals. Call them what they are because unless you have proof or corroboration that it is was in fact the Tooting and Mitchem branch of the Revolutionary Socialist party (Marxist/Leninist) all you are doing is spreading the same sort of nonsense that we heard from Donald Trump in his tirades about ANITIFA and great unwashed far left extremist agitating scum.

You are being played by the Capitalist media who want all protest shut down because they want Democracy shut down and you and your fellow protagonists of this sort of nonsense are nothing more than useful idiots for them.

Yeah, fucking out of order this. I mean, we don't want increased public confidence in the police do we. I mean where would that end??? @VOOMER: WTF are you talking about.

The Government was elected with a manifesto commitment to “finish the job of police reform”. The Policing and Crime Bill will support the transformation of policing and the fire service by:
  • Driving efficiency and better value for money by facilitating closer collaboration between the police, fire and rescue and emergency ambulance services, and maximising the ability of chief officers to make best use of the police officers, police staff and volunteers in their workforce.
  • Enhancing local accountability of the fire and rescue service by enabling directly elected PCCs to on take the functions and duties of fire and rescue authorities, and further to delegate fire functions to a single chief officer for police and fire, where a local case is mad.
  • Strengthening public confidence and trust in the police by radically reforming and simplifying the police complaints and disciplinary systems, including by providing for an enhanced role for PCCs and the IPCC and greater protection for police whistle-blowers.
  • Ensuring the police and other law enforcement agencies have the powers they need to prevent and detect crime and protect children and young people from sexual exploitation.
  • Strengthening the protections for those under investigation by the police by ensuring that there is a proper balance between the rights of individuals and the need to protect the wider public.
  • Ensuring that those experiencing a mental health crisis receive the help they need, and that police cells are only used as places of safety in exceptional circumstances.
  • Reforming firearms and alcohol licensing laws to better protect the public by preventing criminals and terrorists from exploiting loopholes in the Firearms Acts and strengthening the ability of licensing authorities to take action against alcohol driven crime and disorder.
