A thread about protesters

No I have to disagree. Without knowing why the jury came to their decision, they cleared him of murder. He didnt get away with anything because he was a copper. He was convicted of/pleaded to manslaughter. The average sentence for that is about 6 years. A sentence of 13 years is therefore double and probably right for the charge, becasue he was a copper and because he was violent towards someone.

I am not defending him, I cant believe he got away with manslaughter but it had nothing to do with him being dibble.
Yeah maybe I shouldn't have said he was definitely let off because he was police but it's very suspect that it went as a manslaughter charge, that's where the corruption would be, and it does happen. Another one today, and in this climate this should have been a much stronger punishment. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-56459217

I am at a loss with the Coventry one, I had to laugh when his solicitor said he couldn't do Community Service because he would be mixing with criminals... what the fuck do you think your client is!!

The first one you quoted is down to fools on a jury and I still can't get my head around the not guilty verdict for murder. A violent horrible man free in 8 years? 6!!!!

Not sure what the twonks point is, the cops try and stop a demo, they are slagged off. They don't try and stop a demo, they are slagged off.

Can people please make their mind up so that we don't have this silly bickering.

I think people aren't slagging off the police for their actions today. They are pointing out the difference between the policing of this event and that of the vigil last weekend.

Both protest and vigil could have been handled in the same way, rather than going in heavy handed at a bunch of women out to highlight violence towards women.

Just maybe the difference is down to people whinging like fuck last week and they can't be arsed risking catching covid by breaking up a load of covid-denier nut cases?
