A Tribute to Manuel Pellegrini?

Does everything with great dignity. Well done, Pellers for that

A lot of people seem to be assuming that the players won't be motivated from here on in. I think the very opposite may be true: whatever you think of his tactical sophistication, he's a thoroughly liked manager, and if he's had any run-ins with players they've been kept very, very quiet. Might it just be possible that they will play out of their skins for him? Starting tomorrow night?

Also, they all have something to prove if they want to be in Guardiola's plans next season.

It's really hard to complain when we're getting the world's most sought after coach, but losing Pellegrini is tough to take. His priority was always to score goals and entertain the fans and he has been a much more pleasant guy than Mancini was a lot of the time. He'll do well wherever he goes - hopefully not Chelsea...would be too hard to hate Chelsea with the same passion if he took over there

I'll be honest I've wanted MP gone for a while but now that it's sinking In im gonna bloody miss the bloke! He's such a gentleman and a loveable guy it's gonna be heart breaking seeing him no longer there :(

I'll accept ive grown tired in recent weeks of mp for a succession of reasons, i also know im not alone. The shock timing and manner of the announcement is though quite brilliant. And im genuinely happy the charming man was given the grace to break it. He is a true gentleman and i hope we will all hold him in deep affection for years to come. Mancini broke our barren years. Pellegrini added class and steadied a potentially listing ship. Now over to you Pep, youre brief is to take us through the roof

In his first season, for a decisive chunk of that season, he had us playing the best football I have ever seen from any City side.
This should be his tribute, because even with Pep, I'm not sure we'll see better football than that. We'll win more games, be more technical, and potentially win more trophies, but if Pep betters that football, he'll have done very very well.

Bit early to be talking about this, isn't it? I've been critical of him at times this season, but the man has us in four competitions. In absolutely objective terms, that's the most successful point this club has ever been at at this stage of any given season. Let's see which of them he wins first.
Come the late spring, I want to be at that last home match, and regardless of whether we're champions or not, I shall be on my feet cheering for him. In his first season, for a decisive chunk of that season, he had us playing the best football I have ever seen from any City side.
Hear hear

Needs his name singing loud and proud in every game till the end of the season.
