A Tribute to Manuel Pellegrini?

Bit early to be talking about this, isn't it? I've been critical of him at times this season, but the man has us in four competitions. In absolutely objective terms, that's the most successful point this club has ever been at at this stage of any given season. Let's see which of them he wins first.
Come the late spring, I want to be at that last home match, and regardless of whether we're champions or not, I shall be on my feet cheering for him. In his first season, for a decisive chunk of that season, he had us playing the best football I have ever seen from any City side.

I love this guy - but I also feel he is slightly tinged with sadness at leaving as I honestly believe he has the City bug and has great feelings for our great club. I'll be cheering Manuel all the way to the day he leaves - Win, Lose or Draw

Fully with you on this. Whilst I know Pep will take us forwards, I feel a little saddened that he will be leaving.

If he has a great season and wins us trophies, he'll get the praise he would rightly deserve from the fans and he leaves as a championship winning manager, that's enough and the best tribute. I'm not a fan of his, felt he's been holding us back and i've wanted him gone for about a year but i've never lost respect for the guy as a man, A truly class act and will remain one until he leaves.

I have been a fan of Pellers but appreciate that he hasn't been everyone's cup of tea. He has done things that the some fans have not been happy with, team selection, failure to blood the youngsters etc. I do, however, think he's been given a really difficult job as everyone knew Pep was coming, including the players. I think anyone would have struggled to keep everyone happy, including the fans.

We have had a couple of years treading water and it is to his credit that we came second to a good Chelsea team last year and find ourselves in the mix big-time this year. He really can go out on a high and I expect him to.

Respect.

I concur. The footy from Manuel was/is great to see, in the main, the football that first season we all saw was scintillating stuff, and I think
that's what cemented City as a club that is only going to get more powerful, on field and off.

Think he's useless to be honest but even when playing absolute shit football he still gets results.

Glad he's being a good sportsman about it all, having said that I think he probably already knew he was only short term until Pep became available, he is after all 62 years old so will most likely retire soon.

I bet there are plenty of teams out there that wish they had our useless manager!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The best tribute and thank you to him can come from the players , giving their all, quick tempo, working hard of the ball, running through s brick wall for him and us and delivering silverware.

Be sad when he goes the guys a total gentlemen and been a brilliant manager for Manchester City, his first season when he took the shackles off was a joy to behold and some of the best football I've ever seen.
He's part of our transition to footballs elite and I thank him for everything he has done and will do in the coming months for our great club. I wish the guy nothing but good luck in whatever he decides to do in the future.

Manuel Pellegrini.
Our Charming Man...

been said a lot but worth repeating Pellers has been an incredibly dignified man throughout. He has had some difficulties - injuries, maybe not all the buys were strictly his and the constant sniping from his critics. Unlike Maureen and TT he has never had a strop - never behaved like a **** and always fronted up to questions. The trophy haul is hopefully not over and I hope he leaves with the best wishes of all City supporters. He got his reward with the contract extension which was ostensibly to quieten press speculation also served to ensure that when this change came he can receive handsome reward to pay up his contract.

Thanks Manuel - the first and so far only manager from outside Europe to win the Premier League title.

p.s.

If he manages again I hope to fuck he goes abroad and not anywhere in the PL - still rate the guy
