as a boy I remember that dr who exhibition they had on a few years on the top floor of Lewis's. one time it was a lego show. bliss for skint kids.

Bloody hell De Niro!
My mam and nan took me to that Dr Who exhibition at Lewis's I will never forget it.
The Daleks made me virtually crap my pants!
To this day 'Exterminate!!!' Still sends a shiver down my spine and I'm nearly 60 yo!

Justins clothes shop above the Underground market. Always have better stuff than Ivors. Remember getting a Tonic jacket from there.
Seen a young proper skinhead in Huddersfield a few weeks ago with a Tonic jacket on, thought to myself where's he got that from, must be a hand me down off his dad, proper gear on as well, skinny white half mast jeans and cherry red Docs

Classic!
I had a Barathea blazer with my old mans REMY crest badge on the breast pocket.
Two tone tonic trousers.
A penny round collar shirt from Justin's and those cherry red Docs.
Those really were the days! :-)
I had all that as well but not too keen on the penny rounds, i was more of a button down checked Ben Sherman suede head boy myself

Talking of Skinheads are they making a bit of a comeback, i'v seen a few knocking about just lately, all young teenagers as well

Anyone remember the Blackbird Cafe just off Tib Street? Me and my Mam would meet my nanna in there for a toasted t cake and a hot Vimto in a plastic beaker, prior to them dragging me around Littlewoods for what seemed like hours.
