Abdul Razak.

It's nice to stick up for a home grown kid who's come through the ranks blah bnlah blah, City blood in his veins, fabric o the club blah blah blah. Its all bollocks

He's not good enough. He got caught in possession loads of times, kept doing little feints before the ball arrived which they quickly cottoned on to and took the ball off him at will. Didn't excel at anything.

I'll be surprised if he ends up as good as Dickson Etuhu or even Ishmail Miller

Yes, let's judge a player on 10 minutes against a PL side - his 2nd sub performance ever in City - and his first EVER start in the City shirt. My god. You rarely see an 18 year-old excel in central midfield at that age.

It can also be the other way around. Rodwell was considered very promising at 18, now somehow he's slipped off everyone's radar. Just give the lad time.

Just me who thinks he gave the ball away far too often? He won't cut it in our long term plans that's for sure anyway.

80 passes made. 78 successful. 98%. lol

In the sense of him being in possesion and someone getting the ball off him very easily, he got away with it a few times by getting some soft free kicks.

Every time he got the ball against Wigan he lost it and did a few times last night against a very poor side. He looks decent but nothing special, the new Etuhu

Its just about recognising the players potential though, 98% success rate in his passing is a phenomenal statistic on his first start regardless of the opposition.

His awareness of his position and the players around him was very impressive last night, the lad has got something and its a far cry from the likes of when Etuhu burst onto the scene when his physique alone got him into the side.

Well played Abdul son, we'll be seeing you again.

I would have to be a very obsessed rag for bothering going to watch that crap last night

Mustn't have watched the same game as what most people saw then.

No because a youth team player needs to do very little in order to get hailed the next big thing. He looks ok, he doesn't deserve a whole thread of how amazing he is because he simply isn't. If he is to get anywhere near our team he needs to improve hugely.

Well, that's that then. Sorry Abdul.

He'd have been a promising kid when we were in the (real) 2nd division or maybe fighting a relegation battle in the prem.

With the players we have now and the level we're playin at he's nowhere near good enough.

If he fills some youth / homegrown quota then fair enough but otherwise loan him to Bury

looks useful this young kid, apart from one or two passes that went astray toward the end, more down to tiredness that anything else,he looked the part.

He played well and therefore will get a thread. It is the norm. Personally more people should be raving over Savic but, you know, that's football.

Wow, 18-year-old Abdul Razak - deemed good enough by Mancini to exit the EDS and become a permanent first team squad member - already has boo boys in the City fanbase despite not being the final product yet and showing potential that has England trying to claw him away from Ivory Coast.
