abide with me

I think we should sing ` you can stick you rip off prices up your arse`. Bollocks to the soppy stuff, the pigs in the corporate giving sickley smiles as we toe the line. Shit em.

Good idea.

Mods make this a sticky

Remember seeing a Pompey fan in tears singing this when they played Cardiff- Means more to those fans who don't take being there for granted.

Bring it on- all part of the tradition

In recent finals the abide with me moment seems pretty underwhelming with fans mumbling along.

Be fantastic if we can get scarves in the air and belt it out as a tribute to blues that have passed, especially Young and Allison.

Can we get a sticky and make this a campaign? Im all for Poznans etc but this could be a proper moment and set the tone for a great day.

That's the idea!

Let's do it.

Hate the song, it was played at my nanna's funeral and always reminds me of that. :/

Try to turn a negative into a positive blue, I'm presuming it was one of your nanna's favourite hymns hence why it was sung at her funeral? If so why not think of her and sing it loud for her and I'm sure she'll be looking down on you and proud of you. That way you may always remember the hymn in a positive light for your nanna.
good attitude to have.

i cant wait. gonna be an emotional day.

I cried singing bluemoon after the final whistle in the Semi-Final. Me 1 - 0 Pompy fans.

Also I always feel a bit uneasy singing church hymes. Why is it "Abide with me" anyway that we have to sing (excuse my ignorence I just never really looked this up)
