Are we feck all as one..!! Gtr Manc and Manchester are totally different things.. Bolton, Wigan, Oldham, and Trafford are all part of Gtr Man..say no more..

So manchester itself has a definitive border? ie, moss side, gorton, levenshume, cheetham hill etc etc?

Curious, cos to me Altrincham, sale and stretford are manchester but i'm only a visitor now and then.

This is our City..

Bolton that's in Gtr Manchester but a totally different breed.Got mates from Bolton but they are all shack dwelling, dungeree wearing, banjo playing, road kill eating six fingered inbred hillbillies.

pretty much all in here

if you would of carried on a liitle further through Leigh you would of come to Hindley, this place is full of real inbreds, almost as bad as Stoke.

Wow... all those familiar names and places and not one that isn't dead rough. No wonder we've stuck with the lads through thick and thin and thinner after being dragged up in Manchester.

-- Wed Oct 06, 2010 7:32 am --

My one lasting memory of Hanley was getting out of a taxi, after 10 minutes waiting, to stomp (all pissed-off) through the front door of a house to retrieve my then-23-year friend who had gone inside to say goodnight to a middle-aged granny we'd met in the pub.

As I walked in I heard... "come on me duck, you'll have to go, my husband will be back in a minute".

and then I was confronted by the sight of her stood up, in all her glory, with her spangly tube top rolled down, and his gums clamped around her right nipple.

I love The Potteries.

Greater Manchester spans 496 square miles (1,285 km2).[3] It is landlocked and borders Cheshire (to the south-west and south), Derbyshire (to the south-east), West Yorkshire (to the north-east), Lancashire (to the north) and Merseyside (to the west).

True, once I was walking through Didsbury and I was accosted by a man demanding satisfaction.
