Are we feck all as one..!! Gtr Manc and Manchester are totally different things.. Bolton, Wigan, Oldham, and Trafford are all part of Gtr Man..say no more..

So manchester itself has a definitive border? ie, moss side, gorton, levenshume, cheetham hill etc etc?

Curious, cos to me Altrincham, sale and stretford are manchester but i'm only a visitor now and then.
