But you are right on the money in respect of IF he is found guilty she isn't and shouldn't be responsible.
He isn't guilty at present and she will at NO TIME be guilty she's a child.

It was absolutely not consensual. People under the Age of Consent are not able to give consent, no matter what they say. That's sort of the point.

It is, but as others are speculating, if she was dressed to look over age (pretty easy these days), and was somewhere that she legally shouldn't have been, and was after a picking up a "footballer", then its a different issue. Who knows maybe she's bragged to her mates at school, and her parents have got wind of it, and shopped him. Its highly unlikely he will have asked for proof of ID if on a night out.

Until we know the circumstances, likely to be a while if he's charged, then we really shouldn't be accusing him of rape, its currently "on suspicion of sex with a 15 year old girl", and as yet he's not been charged with anything.

There's certainly a shit storm coming his way, either way now though.

If this is true, he had non-consensual sex with a child. What else should we call it?

He has now finished his career as a footballer.If Ched Evans was hounded because of rape with someone who was old enough for consent,then he will never ever play professional football again if this is correct.

You think consensual sex with someone on the cusp of our particular consent laws is worse than rape?

When I was 15 I perfectly capable of consent. Obviously for legal purposes you need to draw the line somewhere but at least there's a bit of grey area. No real grey area with rape.

Absolutely not and please see my previous post.I`m talking about how he will be hounded out of the game (if found guilty) by not only the press but every club in the land and quite rightly so.
I`m no legal expert but as others have posted,if this has happened because she has been in a nightclub,posing as an 18 year old,then that changes everything,which should then put the nightclub in a very embarrassing situation,as I`m certain they would have had to have asked for some ID.
But hey,no-one really knows yet what the circumstances are.

So without the facts, we can't accuse him of rape (despite the fact that he has been arrested on suspicion of it), but we can make up scenario's where he's completely innocent and it's all her fault? Good to know.
