But it's not rape, it's been stated on here that legally consent cannot be given if under 16, so in a black and white world yeah it's rape, but if he girl says she's 18+ and consents then in Adams eyes consent was given to have sex with an 18 year old, barring carbon dating her whats he to do(assuming he didn't know her true age)tho it has been pointed out to me that Mr Rix was in a similar situation and he got 12 months for having sex with an underage girl, not rape...

But the law states that nobody under the age of sixteen is able to give legal consent to sexual activity.
 
He's not even been charged with anything yet. If he's innocent I hope he ruins Dan Roan's life. Like sue him until he is bankrupt and living in the street. Can't have the press acting like a renegade force naming people who haven't even been charged with a crime. Accusations like this stick regardless of the outcome "no smoke without fire" and those stupid sayings.

Bit silly really but you have to draw the line somewhere, every law can succumb to common sense

Correct.
But here's a possible mitigating defence. What if he met her in an over 18s or even over21s nightclub.
Would the nightclub be responsible for checking ages?
