Because there has to be a standardised legal cut off point. No, that shows he is stupid which no one is denying. Whether he is a morally bad person is the topic at hand.
No the topic at hand is him being found guilty of grooming an underaged girl. Your the only one who seems to be on some crusade to protect his reputation.

Only in my head? What do you think people in other countries would make of it? It's allowed in other countries so clearly there is moral ambiguity around the issue.

Look at this the other way around. The law is there to inform the adult not the child.
It's a bit different as there isn't a victim in speeding. If they hit and killed someone because thy were going 45 in a 40 then I imagine you'd think they were a ****, but you'd think they were an even bigger **** if they were doing 120. Much like how you'd think AJ was an even bigger **** if he'd raped a baby.That's a good thread though.
If you speed at 45 in a 40 I wouldn't think much about it.
If you were doing 120 and high as a kite then I'd think you were a ****.
You'd be breaking the law doing either.

I don't care about Adam Johnson. I'm just disillusioned with the fact that it is legally and (apparently) morally wrong with him getting with a 15 year old but there being nothing wrong with a 50 year-old getting with a 16 year old.
The differences between 15 and 16 isn't at all massive and had Johnson got with a 16 year old, there would be nothing wrong with that which I baffling.
