That's what I'm questioning though. When I was 15 many girls were trying to get laid, some even with older guys. I know he groomed her, but ultimately she chose to be with him. There should be more blame on her part, as well as her parents. What he did was indeed stupid, but this punishment seems excessive and arbitrary.

She is a child,it's that simple,grooming is a predatory sexual behaviour and so there is no way to make excuses for him.It makes me sick anyone would try and justify what he did

He groomed her. He's admitted to it. That's a grown man grooming a child for sex.
There's nothing to understand from his point of view. He's a nonce. Nonces get treated like shit inside. Good.

Should be 21 in my eyes! Even at 18 years old you're still too naive and irresponsible to be having sex, gambling, driving, voting and drinking..... it would be a lot easier to manage under-aged sex and drinking as girls and boys aged 15 these days look far older than what they are and manage to get into some clubs as fake ID is easy to obtain! When I was 19 I was in a club in town called Billie Rox which has been closed for awhile, it was a proper shit hole but I pulled this bird who turned out to have only just turned 16 that day, I was put off by it to be honest as she looked about 21, but had anyone older say 25-30 got off with her then imagine how bad that would reflect on them.

So yeah raise the age to 21 I say.

Sorry but that's a really bad idea,you just admitted you pulled someone who looked 21,so if they don't tell you they are younger then you're stuffed....what you had sex with someone 5 years under the legal age,life in pokey beckons.

10 year old is a child, 15 year old is not. You're delusional if you don't think many 15 year olds are not trying to have sex. There were a few girls I knew who would have loved to be with an elite athlete. What's the difference between grooming an 18 year old with the same maturity level of a 15 year old?
