It is totally justifiable to punish a man who knowingly groomed an under aged girl for sex if that is the law of the country where it happened. Forget the other parts of the world that have different laws and morals as they don't apply here. At all.

Understand my point for what it is. I know there's a marked difference but it's the idea of being punished for defying the law to commit a morally controversial act knowing it is illegal.

So if I understand, you don't think he should be punished for breaking the law here, with a crime most people in the UK find morally wrong because there may be some part of the world somewhere that it isn't considered a crime. Does that go for any crime ?

Firstly, before your indirect accusations at me, I am a 18-year-old. Saying that, however, I can rationalise it because it hard to point out why it is objectively wrong when countries differ. We are not in the stone age when it comes to morality so the fact that other countries, namely European countries differ on such an issue is indiciation that it is up for debate like I said. Furthermore, I personally find it ridiculous that there is nothing legally wrong with a 50 year-old man getting with a 16 year-old yet there legal consequences with a 19 year-old getting with a 15 year-old. For me, there is something way more criminal in the former one but our legal system cannot provide moral excellence. I cannot justify why at 15 you are classed as an inexperienced child but at 16, you are okay do basically do as you please. If there is something wrong with having sex at 15, then, for me, there is something wrong with having sex at 16 too which means there is something wrong with out legal system.

Ok you are 18 so your rationalisations are based from the perspective of an 18 year old. AJ is no longer that age and has not been for a very long time. The law is there as a guide, human beings have a moral compass which is what separates them from pedophiles, psychopaths and other scummy creatures. If you are in your 20s and PROACTIVELY chase a 15 year old. You are a nonce, no ifs, no buts, no it could have beens, no it was because. None of that, you are pedophile!

I know what itisrising is saying but even when you impose a limit, there's moral ambiguity. You could have a mature 15 year old and an immature 17 year old. The point is you have to have a limit and whether there's moral ambiguity is a moot point. That's why we have trials, juries & sentencing guidelines.

I think this has already been covered, but Johnson would be prosecuted in Germany as he's over the age of 21 and a complaint has been made. As for morals, I would say that most Germans would frown upon Johnson's actions in a similar way to most people over here. So no, that probably doesn't make them morally bankrupt.

I'm sure the vast majority of ISIS members see beheading and indiscriminate killing as morally acceptable so I'm not sure what you're getting it.
