Maybe the punishment for drinking in Saudi seems ridiculous and excessive to us and yes it probably is but grooming children is a serious offence and the punishment that goes with it is usually and hopefully proportionate to the crime and we have a fairer than most justice process. Having a drink or two in a bar or in your house usually carries minimal to no risk in most circumstances. I think you are looking for silly comparisons

I'm not. I was responding to the idea that it is okay to punish someone solely for not following the laws of the land while fully understanding it. I'm not comparing the two acts, just focusing on that principle.
