Adam Johnson guilty - 6 year sentence

Johnson's barrister Orlando Pownall QC has an interesting CV. He almost always defends clients and there's been some high profile cases too.
 
He'll go down as another ched evans, sad really as I thought he had huge potential to really achieve something when he was here.

This - if he had been truly dedicated he could have been a really good player with us and won many medals. As it is his football career will barely even be remembered now. For the rest of his life he will be known as a nonce. His relationship will do very well to survive.

Probably do fine until the cash stops rolling in like it does now.
 
Just a thought - is there any proof that his girlfriend knew all along or was he telling her that he hadn't done it too? It could be that she only knew he was guilty shortly before his plea change became public so I'm going to reserve judgement on her for the time being. Of course, if it turns out she was in the know or she sticks by him from hereon in then that's not good at all.
 
As a father of two daughters I hope he gets what he deserves.
Usually not that difficult to tell a 15 year old from an adult.
Bloody glad we got rid when we did!
