I guess it could be that he was unaware of her age throughout but has admitted that he actually did commit two of the crimes he's accused of but totally denies doing the other two. Therefore pleading guilty and not guilty accordingly? Just a suggestion.How can he have been duped if he's pleaded guilty to grooming the same girl!!
I don't think he'd be stupid enough to say yes I know she was underage when I did what I'm pleading guilty to but I thought she was 18 (for example) but either way I did not commit the other offences laid against me?

His partner has stuck by him but i bet if they were married she would have taken him to the cleaners in a divorce settlement! Money talks but she must have lost a lot of respect from family and friends for stinking by him.

Marriage is irrelevant. They were together and presumbaly own their home together too. She was always entitled to money. I'm genuinely unsure as to whether I could stay with a girl who cheated on me once. However, I'd always hold the upper hand in the relationship after that. The age thing is the breaker here, IMHO.

Sentencing guidelines will depend on which of the three categories it falls into. Sounds like Category 2 at the moment and, if he's admitted grooming, then that's the more serious level, showing high culpability. It's that's the case, the starting point is 3 years but there may be aggravating/mitigating factors. The range is 2-6 years.
If it's the less serious level of Category 2 or even Category 3, it could be anything from a Community Order to 3 years.
The charge under section 9 includes just kissing and non-genital touching. If that's all his admitting to, and that's what the court agrees he's done, then it would be likely to be a Category 3 offence within those Guidelines. If so, he'd appear to have a decent chance of avoiding a custodial sentence on that charge. This CPS manual, which is prepared in order to assist practitioners by summarising current guidelines and practice, makes that clear (it puts it in slightly simpler terms, which is why I think it worth adding this material): http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/s_to_u/sentencing_manual/s9_sexual_activity_with_a_child/
However, he's aslo charged with grooming, which is a separate offence under section 15. It would appear, then, that he's likely to spend some time inside for the grooming offence. Presumably the two offences he's still denying are more serious and would carry a greater penalty were he convicted.
