10 years ago I found out my 14 year old daughter was with a 22 year old lad.i went to the police who wernt intrested unless I caught them having sex. I said youd be arresting me for murder then pal.unreal the difference a celebrity makes to the outcome

Sad but true mate, I really dont know how I would react if I was you in that situation. I had a friend who ended up with a police caution for smacking a lad who was 19 and sniffing around his 12 year old daughter, he said something similar along the lines of murdering him as well.

Two friends from college took the virginity of underage girls. Both 15 etc. It was the mid 90's and the word paedophile didn't exist in daily conversation.

Seriously, what have I just read? You're splitting hairs about him saying she was nearly half his age? He was 28, she was 15. That's nearly half his age ffs!

If parliament in it's wisdom decided to lower the age of consent to 15, would you still feel morally outraged every time an older man had sex with a 15 year old.

I was annoyed anyone would excuse him and also had the Evans thread in mind,sorry if i annoyed any of the other guys in here

The issue for me and a lot of others on the Evans thread is simply whether he did it or not - questioning the safety of the comviction basically. No rape was reported by anyone and It's back under appeal - reportedly there is fresh evidence that has come to light - so the conviction may get overturned after all.

Johnson on the other hand has admitted to 2 offences so there's no doubt whatsoever about his guilt.

What photo. The one i saw was direct from a twitter account the girl looked very much like another in a different pic purported to be the same victim. It maybe a hoax but all i can say is the girl in those pics looked much older than 15. But thats by the by johnson admits her knew her age so that changes everything. He wont take to signing autographs now, given theyll be on the sex offendors register.

Yes I would because as someone else said, a 28 year old hitting on a 15 or 16 year old is plain weird. If he was 17 or 18 then that's a little different and the law in other countries takes account of small age differences.

Im not morally outraged, I'd be morally outraged if I knew the people involved, I dont, I will leave the outrage for others, but I do think Johnson is a ****. I think its weird someone of his age wanting sex with someone of her age. You seem to think its perfectly normal, do you think its normal for 28 year olds to want to have sex with a 15 year old??
