Adam Johnson guilty - 6 year sentence

Adam Johnson knew she was 15. There's no argument about this now. He's pled guilty to it.

What I'm saying is, she looks very young so you couldn't make that "she looked older" argument that some are chucking about on here.

Yes I would because as someone else said, a 28 year old hitting on a 15 or 16 year old is plain weird. If he was 17 or 18 then that's a little different and the law in other countries takes account of small age differences.

My whole point is that people are legally outraged and they are confusing it with moral outrage. If the legal age of consent was 15, as it is in many and maybe in most European countries,no one would be batting an eyelid. The fact that Johnson did what he did in this country makes it illegal and for that he will be punished, quite rightly, whether what he did is morally outrageous is a different question altogether. The age of consent in the following countries is 14:Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal, San Marino, Serbia.

The threshold of moral outrage is obviously different in these countries. Does this make these countries morally inferior to us or does it just mean that a lot of people don't know the difference between legality and morality.

I've just said that some countries make allowances for small age differences even if they have a lower age of consent. So a 17 or 18 year old having sex with a 15 year old will be allowed. But a 28 year old won't.
Either way, I'll repeat - it's downright fucking weird for a 28 year old man to hit upon a 15 or 16 year old even if he wasn't breaking the law. Anyone who thinks that's normal needs to have a word with themselves.

I agree with you pllk. We know the legal age. Its one thing for a 16yo lad trying to get into his 15yo girlfreinds knickers but its bordering unbelievable a 28 yo would mess about with a girl of 15 knowing she was underage. Beggars. Belief.

Am i right though. The photo i was shown may well be a fake it may also be accurate either way you werent sat next to me at the time so you cant possibly comment on the pic i refer to. However you confusingly state the photos a fake one second then she looks 15 the next. It Infers to people who have read my comment that she looked older and yours that she looked 15 that I have a low moral compass and given as i say you cant possibly know the pic ive seen thats a shit thing to do. One thing i trust we can agree is that its morally reprehensible for johnson to make a move on a 15 yo knowing full well she was just 15
