Adam Johnson is our 3rd best player.

hes noware near our 3rd best player atm, hes one of those players that people like because he consistantly beats his man but their simply isnt enuf end product to justify being one of our best players, hes scored 2? goals since hes been here but more importantly he doesnt have a particularly good assists record when hes played and ultimately the best attacking players consistantly produce the goods, he is a good impact player though when people are tired and theres nothing to say he cant develop his game with more minutes on the pitch.

When he plays, he's there to create.

James Milner 4 assists
Adam Johnson 0 assists

I do find it funny how people are reading Mancini's mind as to how he will set up his team every week, AJ is an up and coming player and potential star, and one of Mancini's first signings for us! The fact that Mancini signed him would suggest he actually has plans for him.

I agree though, AJ needs to work on his attitude a bit

I agree in a few years he will develop into a great winger. But at the moment people rating him 3rd best in the team or one of the best in the league is laughable

Yeah totally agree with that, AJ at the moment is an awesome impact sub, but the sooner he realises he needs to sort his work ethic out the better and he'll start to get the game time he feels he deserves

Boby wants to give freedom to Silva so he can do what he does, so why not:

_______________Hart_______________
Boateng_Kolo Touré__Kompany__Kolarov
_________________________________
_______Yaya Touré__de Jong_________
_______________Silva______________
A Johnson_________________________
_____________________Balotelli______
______________Tévez______________

Boateng isn't a wing back so for me AJ on the right makes sense, sure he's predictable but he can still get the upper hand on most teams even when they double/triple Mark him.

Kolarov though is obviously a wing back so Balotelli on Tévezs left shoulder makes sense also, so Balo can cut in or just play like a central striker whilst Kolarov has the left wing.

Fair enough, stick Barry or Milner in there when we play teams like Chelsea & Utd, but against teams like the ones we've been playing recently, we shouldn't need more than 2 DMs, especially when we've been drawing 0-0 or scoring 1.
