Adam Johnson is our 3rd best player.

Milner has played about 10 more games than AJ, and most of the time AJ has been on the pitch this season has been for the last 15 mins, so he has only touched the ball about 10 times this season, so you can't expect him to get 4 assists.

Patrick Vieria 1 assist, 1 goal
Adam Johnson 0 assist, 2 goals
He won the pen against Liverpool which is as good as an assist. Gone down on the official prem site as one anyway. Considering he only gets 15-20 mins, it's not bad.

He got about 8 assists last season in under half a season when being played, which was nearly as many as out top assisters SWP and Bellers who played the whole season.

The only reason City fans are calling him now is because Bobby has come out and called him. He did nothing wrong to get dropped and if you ask most City supporters and football fans/media/managers around the country, they'd all tell you they'd want him playing for their club.

Including first team and sub apperances
Milner has played 12 games in all comps.
AJ has played 15 in all comps.
I mean AJ has had way less minuites on the pitch than Milner.

Well that's luck for you.

Things can sometimes go your way, and that happened for Vieira.

Although he is a good experienced assister...

Behind Silva and Tévez.

Just because he might be leaving everyone is starting to call him shite, when the fact is, HE IS ABSOLUTE CLASS.

He has never had a bad game for us, his last game he didn't do much, but every other game he's ever played in for us and England, he has been one of, if not THE best player on the pitch.

Someone on the 'Weiss wants City return' thread even said that Weiss is better! That's like saying Boyata is better than Kompany! He just obviously isn't.

Him and Silva are the only players we have that can cross, he's the best we have at beating his man, the only one who has the bottle to try anything special, and the skill to pull it off, and he is 5 times the player Milner has been so far.

I agree he is young and has a lot to learn, but he's already one of the best wide men in the prem and should start every match for us. He should be one of the first names on the teamsheet along with Silva, Tévez, de Jong and Hart.

Just a few weeks ago everyone on this forum was singing his praises and getting hyped up about him.

So tell me, why has everyone gone from loving him to casting him aside?
I'm not casting him aside but at the moment I'd use him from the bench in Premiership games. There's more to football than beating a man one on one

Where do you get the idea that he might be leaving or that everyone is calling him?

I think you should read through the thread before posting and see what people are saying but if you want to put it in a different perspective, perhaps it's because Bobby was right about what he said.

Silva only has 1 goal and 2 assists in the league but I'm pretty sure everyone would agree he's been immense and a far bigger influence than Milner.

Stats don't always tell the whole story.

Exactly what I was going to post.

Won a penalty against Liverpool as well as giving a great defence-splitting pass to Milner that set up one of his 'assists' and got the winner against Newcastle. He's a consistently dangerous player who gets shots on target and sets up chances.

If we go by stats Bale had only 2 goals and an assist in the league until a couple of weeks ago and he's played every minute for Spuds.

Bale is over-rated imo he's had a good season so far but did average last season. You don't go from average to world class in a year see if he can hold up this form for a further season or even till the end of this season.

No-one is questioning AJ's talent but simply trying to say only because he does a step over here and there and crosses in a ball doesn't mean he is simply the best winger in the squad.
You mention David Silva, did you or did you not forget that Mancini started Silva on the bench when he first came and gradually played him in the starting XI when he saw improvements to Silva's game, he is simply doing that to AJ so the lad doesn't get complacent and think he is it, when he isn't it, YET!

Theres been quite a few rumors on the transfer forum, and every time someone says anything anout AJ recently its negative, when everyone used to rave about him.

I'm not saying I believe he's going, just trying to figure out why people have gone from loving him to saying all he can do is beat a man (which isn't true as he's a very good cross and can shoot from anywhere)

Anyway, I think the only reason people have started to do this is because ever since the press said Mancini was under pressure, and that he was playing ultra-defensive, it sort of became 'in' on this forum to be Forza Mancini, I know most were anyway, but ever since then everyone has ramped up their support for him, so when Mancini called AJ, the fans started doing it on here as well as if they were agreeing with him, sort of scared to say he's wrong because people on here would disagree with them.

I'm the freedom fighter!

It seems to be the same situation with Liverpool fans, they are turning on Torres and saying he's shite etc just because it seems he will leave in Jan or the summer, its the same situation here imo.
