Adebayor for me was very poor

25 million, Im sorry but thats jus a rip off, but if it make you feel better, Zenit ripped us off with Arshavin for 15 million. Adebayor just like Arshavin is a good player who is capable of doing great things every now and then. Difference between great and good player is simply the amount of times they are capable of producing great things. Adebayor is and has always been very very inconsistent. I saw him preoduce some of the worst 65 mins I have ever seen against villareal, then he scored one of the most amazing goals. Thats Adebayor for you. You just cant count on him week in week out

You are taking the p**s aren't you ?

I'll agree with Gleghorn and earlier poster who said we should play it to his feet and not in the air. But to do that it might help if he was more mobile and offered runs off his man. I don't like lazy players who react 10 seconds too late. I don't expect him to burn himself out but he could offer a lot more than he does.

Last 10 minutes too many footballing no marks in crowd shouting at players to hit forward and then complaining when it down't land to feet. Do you play at school? Mancini and the players know their job. Quality throughout tonight City. Thank you!

Not sure if you are directing your "Do you play at school?" comment at me or the so called "footballing no marks in crowd". If directed at me then yes I did play at school thank you and for many years after. That was a long time ago so if you are one of those posters who's trying to insinuate that someone with a different view to you is a school kid then sorry but WRONG !. If it wasn't directed at me then apologies, I'll take it back.

I'm not into slagging players off or Mancini but we ran out of ideas and were too predictable. Some good performances and some not so good. I applaud the players for their efforts tonight but if you think that is quality throughout then it's you who needs to go back to school. Adebayor was not quality at all tonight. Think the majority on here have got it right.

why are these comments meaningless? who the fuck is gonna give us 25 mill for that fool and pay him what we do?we're stuck with him till his contract runs out or we'l take a massive loss to get shut.

So we do, what's your point? Still doesn't mean he cost us a million a game. Basic math.

Can't fault his work rate tonight but overall he 's just not good enough. Flashes of greatness but gets caught offside far too many times and is crap in the air.

I like him, but the thing is, when you play it up to him, the ball just comes straight back, he can't keep hold of it enough, it just doesn't stick to him at all, he also slows down the play far too much, he does it all the time.

he offers nothing to us when the ball is higher than a yard off the floor, tonight he was getting beaten in the air by a player just over half his size, not good enough that.

if he has the ball at his feet, and he's in shooting range yes i have every confidence the ball will hit the net, apart from his finishing he doesn't offer us a great deal if i'm being honest.

tevez/torres partnership could see him in the cold at city next season, mind you if we actually get torres.

i'd rather him be playing for than against us.

I think people who say "He's not good enough" are dead wrong. He is good enough, he's wonderfully bloody talented, and THAT is the frustrating part. He has a wonderful touch, is a great finisher and a fantastic natural athlete. There have been times this year when he's jinked his way past defenders with ease. The problem is he just doesn't seem to put it all together and be as dominant as he should be. For me, it doesn't necessarily involve him running around a lot, but working to get into the box when a cross comes in should be standard. Also, it seems to me (and this is just from watching on tele, which can be deceiving) that the runs he makes aren't that intelligent.
